Diving The Philippines Central Visayas
The Central Visayas are surrounded by some of the most accessible and diverse coral reefs in the Philippines. Hundreds of recorded dive sites deliver a huge range of experiences — from thresher shark encounters at the northern tip of Cebu in Malapascua and the famous sardine run in Moalboal, to rich reef and macro life around Dauin and Apo Island. Bohol’s Balicasag and Pamilacan offer great all-round diving, while those willing to go further off the beaten track can find world-class big-fish action at Ticao’s Manta Bowl and Southern Leyte’s Sogod Bay, with whale sharks, strong currents, and dramatic wall diving.
